Several factors contribute to unwanted hair growth: heredity, hormonal changes, certain medications, and physical irritation from tweezing or waxing. Conditions like PCOS can also cause excess hair growth.
Discomfort varies by person, but most clients find it more comfortable than waxing or tweezing. We offer topical anesthetics for sensitive areas and adjust our technique to your comfort level.
Treatment duration depends on the area, hair density, and previous hair removal methods. Most clients see significant results within months, with each destroyed follicle permanently gone.
Laser offers temporary reduction but isn't permanent. It only works on dark hair with fair skin and shouldn't be used on the face. Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved permanent solution for all skin and hair types.
Nearly any area: face, eyebrows, bikini line, underarms, legs, chest, back, and more. Nose and ear canal treatments require physician supervision, which we provide. We also treat hairy moles with doctor approval.

Practicing since 1995, Nelly graduated with honors from MG Institute of Electrology and became board certified by the American Board of Electrology in 1996. She specializes in highly resistant cases, particularly those related to PCOS and hypertrichosis. Nelly also holds an Aesthetician license and offers advanced skin care services. With a Master of Fine Arts from a prestigious European academy, she brings artistic precision to every treatment. Hundreds of satisfied clients across Chicagoland are a testimony to her expertise.
A licensed electrologist since 1994, Maria graduated top of her class from MG Electrology Institute. She joined NSEC in 2007 and specializes in eyebrow shaping and difficult-to-treat areas.
Board-certified physician providing medical supervision for specialized treatments including nasal cavity and ear canal procedures. Dr. Golber also prescribes topical anesthetics for client comfort.
